Accenture

Accenture grew out of the consulting arm of the accounting firm Arthur Andersen, which became a separate business, Andersen Consulting, in 1989 and took the name Accenture in 2001, the year it listed on the New York Stock Exchange. It is incorporated in Ireland with its head office in Dublin, and Julie Sweet has led it as CEO since 2019.

It is one of the largest professional services companies in the world: strategy and consulting, technology services, managed operations, Industry X for engineering and manufacturing, and Accenture Song for marketing and customer experience. It is among the largest partners of SAP, Microsoft, AWS, Google Cloud, Salesforce and ServiceNow, and builds its own platforms such as the AI Refinery for enterprise AI agents.

Accenture says it has about 799,000 people serving clients in more than 120 countries. Its largest delivery centres are in India, the Philippines and China, with innovation hubs and engineering sites across the Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
