Про компанію
Andela was founded in Lagos in 2014 by Jeremy Johnson, Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, Christina Sass and three other co-founders. It began by training young African software developers and placing them with companies abroad, opened hubs in Nairobi, Kampala and Cairo, and in 2020 became a fully remote company.
Today it is a global talent marketplace: companies hire vetted engineers and data and AI specialists from a network spread over more than 135 countries, matched to roles by skill through its Talent Cloud platform. Andela also runs Codewars, the coding practice site, and says more than 650 organizations have built teams with it.
Andela is privately held; its backers include SoftBank Vision Fund 2 and Generation Investment Management. Its registered office is in New York, while its staff and talent work remotely across Africa, Latin America, Europe and North America.
