Про компанію
IBM traces its history to 1911 and took the name International Business Machines in 1924. It is headquartered in Armonk, New York.
Once best known for mainframes and personal computers, IBM now focuses on hybrid cloud and AI: Red Hat (acquired in 2019, maker of RHEL and OpenShift), the watsonx AI platform, automation software, mainframes (IBM Z) and quantum computing. IBM Consulting helps clients adopt these technologies.
IBM Research runs labs on six continents, and IBM has been among the largest patent holders in the United States for decades.
