ServiceNow

ServiceNow was founded in San Diego in 2004 by Fred Luddy as Glidesoft and took its current name in 2006. It is headquartered in Santa Clara, California, and is listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

Its ServiceNow AI Platform runs workflows for large organisations: IT service and operations management, HR service delivery, customer service, security operations and low-code app building. Now Assist and the AI Control Tower bring AI agents into those workflows; it bought Moveworks in December 2025 and the cyber exposure company Armis in April 2026.

According to its annual report for 2025, ServiceNow had 29,187 full-time employees on December 31, 2025, 14,601 of them in the United States. Its main engineering centres are in Santa Clara, San Diego, Kirkland, Hyderabad and Amsterdam, with offices in more than 30 countries.
