Zoho

Zoho was founded in 1996 by Sridhar Vembu and Tony Thomas as AdventNet, a maker of network management software, and took the name Zoho Corporation in 2009. It is headquartered in Chennai, India.

It builds a suite of more than 55 business apps - CRM, Mail, Books, Desk, Creator and others - and the ManageEngine line of IT management tools. It has never taken outside investment, builds its own technology stack and runs its own data centres.

Zoho does not show ads or sell user data. It is known for rural offices such as Tenkasi and for Zoho Schools of Learning, which trains students without degrees for careers in tech.
