Опис вакансії

About the company and team

At Lyft, our mission is to serve and connect. We pursue it by fostering a work environment where everyone has a place and the opportunity to thrive.

Lyft Urban Solutions (often called LUS) creates bike-share programs that riders love, that cities need and that operators value. We design, manufacture and support the bikes and station technology that run bike-share programs in cities around the world, including BIXI. Our Montréal team is at the heart of this work: under one roof, it brings together engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, operations, marketing and sales teams.

The role

As HR Business Partner for LUS, you will be the go-to people partner and will also act as the main HR lead for the Montréal site. You will translate business priorities into concrete HR plans, help managers handle complex people issues, and ensure our programs are well adapted to the Québec context. You will report to the principal HR Business Partner of our Global Growth team and work closely with the Employee Relations, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, HR Operations and Legal Affairs teams.

This is a very hands-on role for someone who enjoys being close to the action. To succeed, you will need to understand the team's objectives, metrics, performance and opportunities so you can develop HR strategies that support them. You will be as comfortable coaching a new manager through a difficult conversation as you are helping a director think through their team structure for the year ahead.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a partner to LUS managers and leaders on team health, performance, development and retention, providing direct, pragmatic strategic support grounded in business reality.
  • Take on the HR responsibilities for the Montréal site, including liaison with the CNESST and the OQLF, and management of the program linked to the Act to promote the development and recognition of workforce skills (the 1% law).
  • Independently and rigorously manage HR cycles: deliver performance reviews, compensation cycles, talent reviews, workforce planning, organizational health reporting and engagement surveys for your client groups, making sure managers are ready for each of them.
  • Support employee relations matters with care and judgment, from the first conversation through to resolution, working with the Employee Relations and Legal Affairs teams on complex cases.
  • Support organizational changes, whether small team restructurings or larger transformations of LUS's organization, including planning, manager preparation, project management and communication with team members.
  • Apply Québec labour law and labour practices to Lyft's global programs, and promptly flag any element requiring local adaptation.
  • Use data to identify trends (turnover, engagement, hiring, etc.) and present them to leaders with a clear recommendation on next steps.
  • Work with the Finance team to track workforce costs, hold leaders accountable, and advise them on headcount adjustments to stay within budget while optimizing business results.
  • Maintain a visible and trusted presence on site, especially with teams who do not work at a desk.

What we are looking for

  • At least 5 years of HR experience, including at least 2 to 3 years in an HR Business Partner or generalist HR advisor role directly supporting managers.
  • Practical knowledge of Québec labour law and experience applying it.
  • Professional proficiency in French and English, written and spoken.
  • Strong experience in employee relations management, including investigations, performance management and terminations.
  • Experience with salaried office employees as well as hourly, frontline or on-site staff.
  • Experience in a company going through integration, restructuring or rapid growth is an asset.
  • Comfort with HR systems (Workday or equivalent) and with using data to support recommendations.

Pay and benefits

The planned base salary range for this role in the Montréal area is CAD $88,000 - CAD $110,000. Salary ranges depend on various factors, including qualifications, experience and location. The range does not include equity grants, bonuses or potential benefits. Your recruiter can give you more information on the salary range for your work location and other factors during the hiring process.

  • Excellent health, dental and vision insurance, plus life insurance and disability benefit
  • Mental health support program
  • Fertility and family planning support
  • Pet care benefit
  • Health spending account (HSA)
  • RRSP contribution options
  • In addition to the holidays observed in the province, salaried team members are covered by Lyft's flexible paid time off policy. The policy lets team members take as much time as they need (with manager approval). Hourly team members receive 15 days of paid time off, with one additional day for each year of service.
  • Lyft is proud to support new parents with 18 weeks of paid leave, designed to complement government programs. Birth, adoptive and foster parents are all eligible.
  • Transportation benefit

Work arrangement

This position is on-site on a hybrid schedule: team members must work in the office 3 days a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. In addition, hybrid roles offer the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year. #Hybrid
