About

Agoda was founded in 2005 by school friends Michael Kenny and Robert Rosenstein. It is headquartered in Singapore, with Bangkok as its largest office, and is a subsidiary of Booking Holdings, the owner of Booking.com, Priceline and KAYAK.

It runs an online travel platform for hotels, flights, ground transport and activities in Asia and worldwide, with iOS and Android apps since 2011 and B2B products such as a white-label platform. Its engineers work mostly in Scala and Go, with Kafka and Aerospike for data, according to its job ads.

Agoda's job ads cite 7,100+ employees of 95+ nationalities in 27 markets (2026). Its careers site calls the Bangkok office, with over 4,000 people, its largest, and lists openings in more than 30 countries, with the most in Bangkok, Tokyo, Cairo, Seoul, Gurugram and Singapore.
