Ajax Systems

Ajax Systems was founded in Kyiv in 2011 by Oleksandr Konotopskyi, who came up with the idea while running a distributor of security products. Kyiv is still home to its head office and main R&D centre.

It designs and makes wireless and wired security systems: intrusion and fire detectors, flood protection, video surveillance, smart home devices and the apps and cloud that installers and monitoring companies run them on. By the end of 2025 it had around 280 devices, 4.5 million users and sales in more than 180 countries.

Ajax grew to 5,000 employees in 2025. Hardware, firmware and software are developed in-house at R&D offices in Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv and Vinnytsia; it runs four factories, in Ukraine, in Turkey since 2022 and in Hanoi, Vietnam, since 2025.
