Delivery Hero

Delivery Hero was founded in Berlin in 2011 by Niklas Östberg, who leads it as CEO, together with Kolja Hebenstreit, Markus Fuhrmann and Lukasz Gadowski. Delivery Hero SE has been listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange since 2017 and is part of the MDAX.

It is a group of local delivery platforms in around 65 countries across Asia, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa, with brands such as talabat, Glovo, foodpanda, PedidosYa, Baemin, Yemeksepeti, HungerStation, efood and foodora. They deliver meals, groceries and everyday goods, partly from the group's own Dmart warehouses. In July 2026 Delivery Hero and Uber agreed to join forces, and in August 2026 its boards recommended that shareholders accept Uber's takeover offer.

The group's tech teams work from hubs such as Berlin, Barcelona, Singapore, Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, Athens and Buenos Aires. Most services run on Kubernetes in the cloud and are written in Go, Java, Kotlin and Python, and Delivery Hero publishes open-source projects on GitHub.
