Flipkart

Flipkart was founded in Bengaluru in 2007 by Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal and started out as an online bookstore. Walmart took a majority stake in 2018.

It has grown into one of India's largest e-commerce marketplaces, and the Flipkart Group also includes Myntra, Flipkart Wholesale and Cleartrip.

Its engineering teams work from the Bengaluru campus at Embassy Tech Village, write on the Flipkart Tech Blog and publish open-source projects through flipkart-incubator on GitHub, such as the Astra API security tester and the Proteus layout engine for Android.
