Glovo

Glovo was founded in February 2015 by Oscar Pierre and Sacha Michaud and is based in Barcelona, Spain. Delivery Hero became its majority owner in July 2022 and held about 94% of the shares, according to Wikipedia. In December 2024 Delivery Hero said Glovo would move its riders in Spain to employee status.

It builds an on-demand delivery app that brings restaurant food, groceries and other goods from local stores through couriers. Its own site describes it as a multi-category player in Europe, Central Asia and Africa, in 21 countries, with about 120,000 monthly couriers and 150,000 monthly local stores (no year given).

Glovo's about page gives about 3,000 employees, without a year. Its privacy policy names the Spanish operating company, Glovoapp Spain Platform, at Calle Llull 108 in Barcelona. Glovo's own pages list no office cities, so only Barcelona is recorded here.
