Grab

Grab was co-founded by Anthony Tan and Tan Hooi Ling and began in Malaysia in 2012 as the taxi-booking app MyTeksi. It later moved its headquarters to Singapore and has been listed on Nasdaq since 2021.

Today it is Southeast Asia's superapp: rides, food and grocery delivery, parcels, payments and lending, with digital banks in Singapore and Malaysia and its own mapping platform, GrabMaps.

Its engineering runs out of R&D centres across the region and beyond, the largest at the Singapore headquarters, and the team writes openly about its work on the Grab engineering blog.
