About
HCLTech goes back to HCL, founded in 1976 by Shiv Nadar and a group of engineers to make computers in India. Its software services arm became HCL Technologies in 1991 and grew into one of the largest IT companies in India. It is headquartered in Noida and listed on the Indian stock exchanges.
It works in three businesses: IT and business services, from applications and cloud to digital workplace and cybersecurity; engineering and R&D services for hardware, software and automotive makers; and HCLSoftware, which sells its own products such as BigFix, AppScan and Domino. Its AI offerings include AI Force and AI Foundry, and its revenue over the twelve months to June 2026 was about 14.8 billion US dollars.
According to its results for the quarter ended June 2026, HCLTech has more than 223,000 people across 60 countries. Most work from more than 50 delivery centres in Indian cities, including Noida, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Lucknow and Madurai, and it runs nearshore centres in Romania, Poland, Bulgaria, Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Vietnam and the Philippines.
