About
HubSpot was founded in 2005 by Brian Halligan and Dharmesh Shah, who met at MIT, and popularised the idea of inbound marketing. It is headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and has been listed on the New York Stock Exchange since 2014.
It makes a customer platform for growing businesses built on one CRM: Marketing Hub, Sales Hub, Service Hub, Content Hub, Data Hub and Commerce Hub. Its Breeze AI adds agents for prospecting, customer support and content, and its app marketplace connects the CRM to well over a thousand other tools.
According to its annual report for 2025, HubSpot had 8,882 full-time employees on December 31, 2025. Product and engineering teams work mainly from Cambridge, Dublin and Berlin, and many people work remotely or in hybrid teams across its offices from San Francisco and Toronto to Sydney, Singapore and Tokyo.
