About

JetBrains was founded in 2000 in Prague by Sergey Dmitriev, Valentin Kipyatkov and Eugene Belyaev and is headquartered in Amsterdam.

It makes tools for developers: IntelliJ IDEA, PyCharm, WebStorm, Rider, GoLand and other IDEs, TeamCity and YouTrack, and AI coding tools such as Junie. It also created Kotlin, now the preferred language for Android development.

JetBrains is privately owned and has grown without outside investment. Its teams work from offices in Amsterdam, Prague, Munich, Berlin, Warsaw, Belgrade, Yerevan, Limassol, the United States and elsewhere.
