About

Kyivstar is Ukraine's national mobile operator. JSC Kyivstar was incorporated in 1997, and the first call on its network was made on 9 December 1997. It is the operating subsidiary of Kyivstar Group Ltd, a Bermuda company listed on Nasdaq (KYIV) since 2025 after a demerger from VEON, which still owns about 83.6% of the shares. The company is headquartered at 53 Degtyarivska St. in Kyiv.

It provides mobile and fixed communications, home internet, Kyivstar TV, 5G pilots and Starlink Direct to Cell satellite connectivity launched in November 2025. Its digital businesses include Helsi, Tabletki.ua, Uklon (acquired in April 2025), Shtorm and the Kyivstar.Tech unit. The site cites about 22.4 million mobile subscribers at the end of June 2025.

Its careers page states 4000+ employees and offices across Ukraine without naming cities; at the end of 2025 about 5% of employees had been drafted into the army, according to its annual report. Its filing names Huawei and FiberHome as network equipment suppliers.
