About
Mitti, called SafetyCulture until August 2026, started in 2004 in Townsville, Queensland, as a maker of safety documents, launched its iAuditor inspection app in 2012 and took the SafetyCulture name in 2019. It is headquartered in Sydney, where it has worked from Surry Hills since 2014.
It builds an operations platform for frontline teams: digital checklists and inspections, issue reporting, tasks, assets and maintenance, training through EdApp, lone-worker safety through SHEQSY, a marketplace for work gear and AI agents that watch sites for risks. Mitti Insurance prices business insurance from the same operational data and is licensed across 51 US states and jurisdictions. According to its website, more than two million workers in 80,000 organisations use the platform.
Mitti does not publish a headcount; workforce data from Revelio Labs put it at about 900 people in March 2026, more than half of them in Australia, followed by the Philippines and the US. Its engineers work mainly from Sydney, and it has further offices in Manchester, Kansas City, Austin and Manila.
