Nexon

Nexon says it was founded in 1994 and today is headquartered in Tokyo, at Ark Hills South Tower in Roppongi. NEXON Co., Ltd. was incorporated in December 2002, listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange in December 2011 and is part of the Nikkei 225 and JPX-Nikkei 400 indexes. Its Korean operation launched the world's first graphical MMORPG, The Kingdom of the Winds, in 1996.

It develops and runs online games for PC, console and mobile, more than 40 games in over 190 countries and regions according to its website. Franchises include MapleStory, Mabinogi, Dungeon&Fighter, KartRider and Blue Archive. Embark Studios in Stockholm, acquired in full in 2021, makes THE FINALS and ARC Raiders, and Nexon Games in Seoul makes Sudden Attack and V4.

According to the company's site, Nexon had 9,834 employees on a consolidated basis on December 31, 2025, with 36 consolidated subsidiaries and 13 affiliates. Besides Tokyo it lists group companies in Korea, the US (Nexon America, founded in 2005 in California), Taiwan, Thailand and Sweden.
