About
Oracle was founded in 1977 by Larry Ellison, Bob Miner and Ed Oates, and shipped one of the first commercial relational databases. It is headquartered in Austin, Texas.
The Oracle Database is still its best-known product, alongside Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), enterprise applications (Fusion ERP, HCM, NetSuite), the Java platform it has stewarded since acquiring Sun Microsystems, MySQL, and Oracle Health.
Oracle serves large enterprises and governments in more than 170 countries, with development centres in the United States, India, Europe and elsewhere.
