Philips

Royal Philips is a Dutch health technology company whose heritage goes back more than 130 years. It is headquartered in Amsterdam and listed on Euronext Amsterdam (PHIA) and the New York Stock Exchange (PHG).

Its professional business builds diagnostic imaging, image-guided therapy (Azurion), patient monitoring, ultrasound, informatics and AI tools such as the ECG AI Marketplace and BlueSeal MRI. Its consumer business sells personal health and home products such as Lumea. About 9% of sales went into R&D in 2025, and roughly half of that R&D is software and data science.

Philips reported 64,817 employees (full-time equivalents) at the end of 2025, working in more than 100 countries. Its largest software site is the Philips Innovation Campus in Bangalore, with about 5,000 people, there since 1996.
