About
Ubisoft was founded in Brittany in 1986 by the five Guillemot brothers; Yves Guillemot leads it as chairman and CEO. It is headquartered in Saint-Mandé, near Paris, and listed on Euronext Paris.
Its franchises include Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six and The Division, Just Dance, Anno, Rayman and Prince of Persia. In 2025 it set up Vantage Studios for Assassin's Creed, Far Cry and Rainbow Six, with Tencent investing EUR 1.16 billion in it.
Ubisoft had 16,590 employees at the end of March 2026, in studios and offices across more than 20 countries, the largest in Montreal. Its games run on in-house engines such as Anvil, Snowdrop and Dunia, written mostly in C++, with tools in C# and Python.
