UiPath

UiPath was started in Bucharest, Romania, in 2005 and incorporated in Delaware in 2015. It is headquartered in New York, at One Vanderbilt Avenue, and has been listed on the New York Stock Exchange since 2021.

It makes enterprise automation software. It began with robotic process automation (RPA) built on computer vision and user-interface automation, and the UiPath Platform now combines software robots, AI agents and people in one place: Studio to build automations, Orchestrator to run them, Maestro to orchestrate agentic processes end to end, intelligent document processing, process mining and Test Cloud for software testing.

According to its annual report for fiscal 2026, UiPath had 3,981 full-time employees on 31 January 2026, most of them outside the US. Its largest office is in Bucharest, with more Romanian offices in Cluj, Iași and Sibiu, and its product development centres are in Bellevue, Washington, and Bengaluru.
