About

Vinted started in 2008 in Lithuania as a website for giving away clothes, founded by Milda Mitkute and Justas Janauskas. It is headquartered in Vilnius, became Lithuania's first unicorn in 2019, and is privately held, backed by Accel, Burda Principal Investments, EQT Growth, Insight Partners, Lightspeed Venture Partners and Sprints. A secondary share sale in April 2026 valued it at 8 billion euros. Thomas Plantenga is CEO.

It runs a second-hand marketplace for fashion, kids, home and electronics, called Vinted Marketplace, plus Vinted Go for shipping through pick-up and drop-off points and Vinted Pay, a wallet that received a UK electronic money institution licence in March 2026. For 2025 it reported gross merchandise value of 10.8 billion euros, revenue of 1.1 billion euros and net profit of 62 million euros.

According to its About page, more than 2,000 people work from the Vilnius HQ and offices across Europe. Its careers page lists roles in Vilnius, Kaunas, Amsterdam, Berlin, London, Hamburg, Breda, Madrid, Luxembourg and France.
