Microsoft has filed a patent for a system that alters live video in near real time: AI agents cut or replace individual words of a speaker, and the speaker's face and mouth movements are adjusted to the new text.
The changes follow preset parameters or the viewer's profile, and the video and audio before and after the changed word are edited for "smooth transitions".
The system can be applied to lectures, presentations, TV shows and sports broadcasts.
